| - 5 IN PARADISE / 8 IN STATES
Ok so first off, don't hate... I am giving it only 3 stars because facts are facts and I've had better. I just came from Japan, where I lived for the last 7 yrs.
with that being said.... There is a trick to this 3 rating...
Ok so my Japanese wife is with me, and matter of fact she has only been away from our home in Japan for about a week, and already missing the food... So she yelped and found this spot. As far as authentic, she blessed off and said yes it's really Japanese ramen... However, it's not like the best.
Her exact words were, "this is good, for America.. You know if this place was in Japan, it would get some business..."
So on a 10 pt scale... Including Japan, this ramen is about a 5..... Like Tenkaippin... HOWEVER... (Here's the catch)... As far as USA ramen places go... It's like an 8!!
So I figured... 3 stars would do. Even Sakino JUST said to me, ehhh I don't mind coming back... Pretty good stuff.
So don't really worry about my picky opinion. I'm a die hard true blue 110% loyal to my #1 favorite ramen spot in Okinawa and honestly nothing will ever compete... But Sakino is Japanese, from Japan, and vouched for this place. Again, she gave it a Japanese 5 but a USA 8.... And since we're obviously on the US right now.... This is the place to be.
We both got the spicy ramen, rice, mochi ice cream. The SUPER spicy one was like crazy hot...lol. The regular spicy is just fine... No need for more.
The rice was decent. Mochi was fine. Service friendly and nice and quick. No issues with the staff or facility! And again, I can't go above 3 stars cuz honestly TASTE wise, it's a 3 star place... But that's cuz I've been to the ramen Mecca and back... So for here, you more than likely will NOT find better ramen than this place! Take it or leave it....
