For $21 a night, you can't have high expectations when it comes to lodging. This was the case with our latest trip to Vegas, but Circus Circus certainly exceeded mine.
The good:
- Fast check-in, free room upgrade (for us).
- Plenty of extras ($20 food/beverage, $10 slots) and amenities.
- Clean, above-average rooms.
- Lots of restaurants, shops and games.
- Few kids (in the middle of January).
- More open gambling tables than you'll likely find at other casinos.
- Cost.
The bad:
- A/C will keep the room cold, but the fan won't stay on and is kind of loud when it does.
- Adventuredome was closed for repairs during our entire stay.
- Parking is very confusing/inconvenient.
- Buffet is mediocre and overpriced.
- Distance from the heart of the strip.
The ugly:
- The people who immediately try to scam you with timeshare presentations when you walk in.
- That creepy 70s neon clown sign.
Overall, I'd stay there again if I were on a tight budget.
