| - I took my family on the High Roller in July 2016, and we thought the ride offered great views, but was nothing special.
The price for an adult is $35, children under 12 are free. There are many Groupons and living socials deals to save you a couple of dollars.
You enter a bubble, and as the giant wheel makes one complete revolution you get incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip. The revolution takes about 30-40 minutes. The wheel moves very slow and is very stable, if not for the changing view, you would not even know you were moving.
The only down side is that you are crammed in the pod with a lot of people you don't know. If one of them is a drunk bung-hole, it will be a long 30 minutes.
After you get off the ride, you'll be offered to buy your green screen picture that you took prior to entering the High Roller for the special price of $50!!! Are they serious?!? I guess if you are in a group of people on you all share the price it's no big deal. But if you are just a couple or a family, that is a lot for a posed picture.
If you have never been on the High Roller I would recommend doing it at least once, but only once in the evening, to get the best views. Make sure you get a deal and don't pay full price.
