  • Just stayed overnight at this airport hotel located about a 10 min drive from Toronto Pearson International. This is a well appointed clean and updated property. They have a free shuttle service to and from the terminal. The room was a good deal on Expedia, but the walk in rate as far as I could tell was only about $10 more per night so feel free to just call over there and check vacancy. The hotel shuttles all pick up on the level BELOW the Arrivals level at T1 and you need to find pillar S5 along the pick up lane outside the terminal doors. It is located all the way down on the right end as you exit the terminal. Call ahead to let them know you need a pick up. The shuttle is white and clearly marked Pearson Hotel and Conference Centre. All rooms are non smoking, which is refreshing because that is not always the case at the budget hotels and I ended up gagging on stale smoke fumes the last time I stayed at The Quality Inn (see my review). My room was well appointed, albeit sparse in the soap etc. They offer only 2 Wafer-thin slices of dry soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo/conditioner so ask for extra if you are more than a solo guy with short hair. My room was nice and clean with modern furnishings, working heating/cooling system, big flat tv with cable and free wifi. There was a small coffe maker as well as a mini fridge (empty but cold) There doesn't seen to be any food or snacks available on site, so be sure to stock up at the 7-11 kiosk at the terminal before you get on the shuttle. This includes anything you might want for a morning snack as as I said the place offers no comestibles from what I could glean. Interesting to note that though free, the wifi is fire walled by the administrator to exclude any porn sites. I found this to be a tad Big Brotherish. Though not a dedicated porn consumer, as an autonomous adult living in the First World, I would rather not have someone else decide what I should or shouldn't view online. This is likely in place to control what the night desk attendant is doing with his time at work rather than what the guests are viewing in the rooms. At the very least offer a paid unrestricted access to the Web. They may have that on offer, but I couldn't be bothered to inquire as it didn't really matter. Just a sticking point with me. All in all a very good hotel for around $100 with prompt reliable shuttle service and a good clean quiet room. Will definitely stay here again if ever I need to overnight in Toronto.
