This has been my pediatrician office for 7 years, and it has gone down hill tremendously. I've had many experiences over the years both good and bad, but I'll give you some examples of how it is not as great as it was before. The biggest reason for this, is the office staff in my opinion. I needed paperwork for daycare and it took about 2 weeks to get it. It took multiple calls and coming in twice which was absolutely ridiculous.
Additionally in 7 years I had a whopping two "no shows" (my ex husband was responsible for one of the two), and when I called after realizing I had missed the appointment the office staff told me they couldn't get us in for over a month. They didn't even offer to schedule me. When I came in for my youngest child's well check I spoke to the dr about this and when I left that day the office staff told me I had two "no shows". As if to remind me that is why they didn't schedule me. The way she said it felt demeaning. No understanding at all regardless of the reasoning for the no show. After all of the office visits over the years where I'm not so much as a minute late, I'm now feeling like I'm being reprimanded or at the very least penalized by not getting another appointment.
The office staff in general just seems condescending and grumpy. If I were the drs I would fire them all and find staff that WANT to be there, want to help the patients and families, and have good attitudes. Many parents are stressed out during these visits because they are often there for a health concern for their children. It makes a huge difference to parents whether or not they are dealing with someone with a good attitude or someone grumpy and acting like they hate working their and dealing with people.
The other reason I think this place isn't as great is that they lost their best doctor (in my opinion) Dr. Aikels. I imagine she outgrew this place and started her own practice.
