| - I was in Calgary for the week again, and decided to try a couple different coffee places near the hotel I was staying at. Monogram was a short walking distance away, and it was open early - perfect!
Since they did not have soy milk, I tried their homemade almond & cashew nut mylk, that's sweetened with dates, in my latte. As with all the other nut milks I've tried, the nutty flavor overcomes the coffee flavor, clashing with it, vs. enhancing it, and it was just OK to me.
I saw they had a banana chocolate bread pudding in the counter, that I had to try. Now that was *amazing*! So decadent, I couldn't finish the entire thing, but it did make me want to go back for more.
A couple days later, I went back, and unfortunately, they were already sold out of the bread pudding (why?!). So, this time I decided to try their take on the cinnamon roll and almond croissant. Both of these were good, but not outstanding, like the bread pudding. I'll definitely be back early for that bread pudding!
