My guilty pleasure. I call up this joint when I'm in some dire need of comfort food and it always hits the spot. I believe the mixed reviews have alot to do with the inconsistency in freshness that I've sometimes experienced here myself. I think the time of day and week you happen to order or dine in has alot to do with it here, as it can be hit or miss in that department. I have ordered when the food was hot off the grill and the meat was melting off the bones. I've also ordered when the ribs were not just made and the sides definitely appeared to be reheated. There is a huge difference but chalked it up to coming during a rather vacant time of day. This is a small family business and I think if you are smart about when you order or arrive during a fairly busy time, you will get your food alot fresher. I order around dinner time closer to weekends when there's a line out the door and I'm never disappointed. I recommend the spare ribs, mac n cheese and potato salad is good. I wasn't too impressed with the cakes I've tried but I'll try the pudding next.
