  • Great little bubble tea joint in Chinatown. My girlfriend and I stopped in as she had a wicked craving and she said it's one of her favourite spots for milk tea. Chatime has a pretty good selection of teas and also allows you to customize your tea in terms of sweetness or ice level, which is also pretty neat. It wasn't busy when we went, but I heard that it is a popular place and the staff seemed to be pretty efficient. I got the grapefruit green tea with regular sweetness, ice and added pearls. My girlfriend got the Thai Milk tea with pearls. I thought her milk tea was delicious and she told me that she has tried the regular milk tea and found it to be a little too rich and thought was the Thai Milk was a toned down version of it. I found my grapefruit green to be a TOUCH too sweet, but I still really enjoyed it. I'll make a note next time to try 50% or 80% as it has been suggested in other reviews or just the Thai Milk tea as it was really good. I normally find in other bubble tea places that pearls are automatically added, however at this place it is an extra charge, as are the other toppings (grass jelly, etc). I found it to be a little pricey for a regular sized drink so just as a heads up.
