I was very excited to go to JC. We see it all the time because we live almost across the street from it. We read up and found out about their 1/2 off steaks on Sunday's and thought that would be perfect.
I'm gonna save me some time and effort by stating that the food was pretty good. On food alone I would have given about 4 stars. But alas I don't review based on food alone. Being in the customer service industry I have a keen eye and sense for how things should be done.
So here we go....we walked in and no hostess was at the door. A server brushed by us and quickly muttered the hostess will seat you momentarily. So we stood there in the doorway waiting. Finally the woman who spoke to us figured out the hostess wasn't coming and sat us herself.
Next...our server arrived. In unpolished form. Very unprofessional in appearance, speech, and attitude. (perhaps JC should hire on ability and not on whether or not you have breast implants and a mildly cute face)
She then took our orders.
I joined their text message coupon service and showed the server that we have a coupon for a free drink. (which later when the bill came was not free. She forgot)
We ordered an appetizer. It came rather quickly. That was nice. But alas again. No plates or utensils.
Food arrived. We had ordered the 18oz ribeye which was huge so we decided to split it. No extra plate to cut it on. Wonderful.
We waited 10 minutes for the check after she took away our plates after we finished. Then another 10 minutes to show her the drink error. We were so unimpressed with the service. Very sad.
