| - I have been a resident here for almost a year and I noticed once I moved in there where hornets flying around and going in under the roof by my apartment (which obviously means they're making a nest in there). Once spring/summer has come back around the hornet problem only increased. I came home one day to find two hornets in my apartment on the ceiling, well out of my reach. I had to vacuum them up which was the only way to get them out. As I looked out my balcony you could see hornets flying around and actually hitting my window. Obviously this makes using the balcony not an option.
I sent a maintenance request and of course, no response. We had to literally find maintenance workers and tell them about the problem and they said they were aware but the manager didn't worry and ignored the request. So they personally went and told her about the problem. Days later I noticed the hornets were building a nest right outside the front door to my apartment. I would literally have to watch my back the entire time while opening the door, and the closing of the door and the vibration would make them aggressive. Again, I sent a maintenance request and all maintenance did was knock down the nest. But, it doesn't matter, they will just rebuild it.
About a week later I noticed that I had two nests beginning on my balcony with hornets swarming around. AGAIN, I put in a maintenance request and I actually got a response back from maintenance, however it seemed very condescending that "we would address the problem, AGAIN.". Well, perhaps if they actually got an exterminator out to kill the hornets, that affect everyone's apartment (as I've spoken to others who have the same problem) the hornet problem would not need to be addressed AGAIN.
But other than the continuing issues with the hornets that maintenance will never address properly, the apartments are pretty mediocre. People slamming doors at all times of the day and night, people flying through the parking lot, people smoking right below you so that nasty smell comes right up into your apartment when you have your window open. Also, just recently had two sketchy looking people pounding on my door at 6 AM and trying to open my door for over 5 minutes before I informed them very sternly that they had the wrong apartment.
