I had read that Penny's plans on closing most of their outlet stores across the USA. I thought I had better stop in before they were gone for good.
1) The big men's section is almost non-existent now. My husband wears a 3XL and used to buy most of his clothes here. Just a couple racks of t-shirts and polo shirts now in limited colors and styles.
2) Looked for a new purse. Cheap plastic/vinyl/cloth purses are all they had. I ended up going across the mall to the Wilson Leather Outlet to get a real leather purse. I used to get all my purses at Pennys when they had leather purses.
3) My pregnant daughter was with me and was looking for a pair of maternity capri pants for summer, but we couldn't find any maternity clothes. We ended up going across the mall to the Motherhood outlet and found what she needed.
Most of the merchandise looks like cheap Walmart type Chinese stuff now. It used to be that Pennys was the middle road between high-end stores and cheap stores. That line has now blurred and the current Pennys merchandise is of the Kmart/Walmart/etc genre.
