| - This has been on my "to do" list for about a year and half, about the time I got to AZ. We walked in on a Thursday night about 6pm and we were asked if we had reservations, we did not but we got the last table available. The place is very small, much smaller that any of the pictures look. A minute after we opened the menu, which is huge, our server told us they were having a event going and were having long times, food is coming out a hour to a hour and half, and every thing is made fresh. We could of left but did not. I liked that she told us, I hate sitting for a half hour for a salad and wonder why it was taking so long.
We started with a app of pastry stuffed with asparagus, cheese and nuts, with ranch dressing dipping sauce. It was good, never had anything like it before but the ranch dressing did not pair well. Next was soup and salad. My husband had the pork veg soup, it was kinda bland. I had the house salad, fresh and flavorful, it came with a creamy feta dressing. I do not like feta cheese, I scraped most of it off and then with just a touch on each bite it was good. If I had kept all the dressing it would of been too strong for me.
Now the main course, large portions. My husband had the Pie aha. First when he ordered it our server told us it was not traditional but their version. This had large shrimp, scallops, chicken, rice in a broth that was very spicy, not India spicy but with rosemary, thyme, lots of flavor. He very much liked it. I had bow tie pasta with asparagus, crab, shrimp, mushrooms, garlic in a white wine sauce. OMG!!!! SO GOOD. I ate till I was full and put my fork down, pickted it up ate some more and pushed my dish to the end of the table and thank goodness our server was there in a second and asked if I wanted a box.
Children, it is ok not to clean your plate, no matter what your mother told you, not good to stuff your self but defiantly box it up and take it home. The next day, warmed it in the micro and it was just as good, no disappointment.
Defiantly going back.
