I'm surprised that Baraka's wasn't already on Yelp. Ethiopian food isn't big on most people's radar, but it is something that most people should try. It's very similar to Indian and Thai, but with a slight and unique difference in flavor due to the spices they use.
The dinners come with a salad, and a choice of either rice or injera (Ethiopian bread that reminds me of a cross between a crepe and a crumpet). The dinners (with a couple of exceptions) can be done as 1/2 and 1/2 if you are stuck between choices.
My husband and I went recently. I got the 1/2 and 1/2 Coconut Chicken Curry and Minchet Abish, a very spicy beef mix. I chose the injera bread to mop it up. You can also order extra injera if you need more. The spices were incredible, and unlike most dinners out, I finished it all...no doggy bag needed.
My husband got the 1/2 and 1/2 Coconut Chicken Curry and Dorowot, a type of chicken stew, and the rice.
The atmosphere is cozy. Its not very big, but we were able to get a seat right away. The staff was friendly as well and were very attentive during our meal.
