| - They literally saved my cat's life. He was at an emergency animal hospital where they were trying to treat a severe urethral blockage. After many attempts to catheterize him, they were suggesting either a $2-6k "high risk" surgery or to put him down. They told me that he'd likely live a life full of pain & complications and they didn't want me to go and "write a bad Yelp review" (really? Your priorities!). They said it wasn't worth it unless "money wasn't an option, just to try". "My cat wouldn't be the same after all that, anyway."
It left a bad taste in my mouth, and a tug on my heart, so I started calling around for a second opinion, when I spoke with Bonanza Cat Hospital. They asked me my cat's eating & drinking habits & told me they would make time to see my cat if I brought him. They said the Dr had lots of experience with this condition. She even had a cat herself with this who lived to 17!
What an amazing, amazing cat hospital. You can just feel the calm, positive cat-loving energy when you walk in. They rescue cats, too, by the way...so, you get lots of comforting love from the other kitties while you wait, to destress you from whatever is going on with your cat.
Fast forward to now, my cat is home, my bill for all of his surgery & care over like 2wks was less than 1 night at the other hospital, and most of all, he's more & more himself everyday! I don't want to jump the gun on my remarks, but their care has quite literally saved his life and kept my little "pride" complete. I can't imagine bringing my cats anywhere else, I hope they never change this place. I always felt like he was where he needed to be & that I could rest knowing he was getting the best care.
This place isn't set up just to make money. I know animal care is a business, and every hardworking person deserves a living, but they really do put the cats first here.
Thank you!
P.S. Please don't let the long periods of no communication scare you. They are so inundated with actually helping cats that sometimes, you just don't get a status call everyday. I will admit it got annoying, as a Kitten Mommy, I just wanted to know how he was doing! But do know that it is only on the human end, as it never affected the care of my cat...
