I've been to the truck before, but never inside the purple building next to the Phoenix Jazz hotspot The Nash. I had a sort of vegetarian breakfast with the green chile cheese grits, the home fries and an egg.
The meal was great, well-cooked and just greasy-spoon enough for me to enjoy without feeling like I was about to birth some other-worldly creature. The decorations inside are cool, one might call them industrialized-modern like many of the other new spots popping up around the downtown area. I'm fine with that.
They also had Chainbreaker from Deschutes Brewery on tap, big plus in my book. It was clean and well-lit. Nothing really out of the ordinary as far as hot dogs go, it's worth mentioning that you can get anything you might get on the truck here, as well as a bevy of other options that aren't available on the truck. Definitely worth a try for lunch or maybe a super-casual dinner.
