Last night I went into this store and had the worst service ever I was so mad I walked out. I went in looking for a printer, a tablet case and memory stick. While I was walking around the store I found a printer (canon) for 53.49. On a clearance rack.underneath the writing it was marked with 4 yr protection plan. I was interested in purchasing the printer so I went to the front help desk since I didn't really see anybody on the floor except a lady pushing around a vacuum. She did t say hello or asked me if I needed help. Behind the counter were 2 associates helping other guests. The one Alyssa was helping an elderly lady out and was being very rude to her. The older lady walked away and it took a minute, but she finally asked me if I needed help. I told her what I was looking at and she had no clue what I was talking about. I asked her if she wanted to come around and I would show her. She said ok and then and went to the other register and started checking people out. This got me livid as I am standing there waiting. She then calls for the lady that was using the vacuum and has her help me. I take her over to the printer and start asking her questions about the product and she says hang on. She walks away. After a few minutes a guy that works there comes up and starts talking about it. So I ask him do you have the cables and drivers for the printer. He says well you see I don't know if we have them since they were display models so you would have to purchase them. Then he says the ink may be dried up and I would have to purchase that as well. So I ask him. So you are selling a defective product, but giving a 4 yr protection plan on it. Wouldn't you have all the stuff for it so I when someone does purchase the printer it will be all there. Then I ask him so with it having the protection plan wouldn't you make sure that everything would be with the printer replaced free since there is a protection plan for it and warranty. Then he says that the all in one printer only prints pictures and scans. And starts to go show me other printers. I told him I know all about the other printers and this product alone, but I was curious about the price and quality. I then see there is the same model on the printer shelves selling for 69.99 new. I laughed. I said so you want me to spend almost 140.00 on that printer when I can grab this one for 69.99. He says oh that was supposed to be taken down. He walks away. Then he comes back and asks if I want to buy the clearance printer. I was furious at this point and told him he was an idiot and the service there was completely terrible. I did use another word. Then he tried to defend himself and come back with different excuses. I told him I am leaving and I am not coming back. I don't know if this is the standard at this business, but every single worker that I talked with last night should be fired or at least written up. I went in on Friday night at 730pm. The only person I did not talk to was the one in the printer area of the store.
3/6/18 has just tried getting ahold of Staples to try to find a way to get a hold of Heather and well the website sent me to a talk through FB messenger. Well that was a bad idea. Ericka seemed that she didn't want to talk with me. I waited for responses and she just kept sending my replies to send an email through a link. Why can't I find that when I go on the website? I don't know how to DM on Yelp.
