This week was the first time I have ever dealt with Spirit Airlines. I've heard horror stories so never considered giving it a try. However, those fears we're unfounded. My sister flew in (as a surprise) with Spirit this week and despite a few bumps it all worked out well.
I suggest Spirit for those who are flying without children, have a flexible schedule, and are travelling light. Read ALL the fine print, make sure you check your emails for updates on flights, be kind and courteous to the employees. Most importantly remember your getting a deal on the pricing so you are choosing to forfeit certain luxuries.
The only major complaint I had,was that there was confusion amongst Spirit employees at the gate and the employees located at check in. Consistency amongst staff pertaining to actual rules and regulations, would eliminate confusion and anger amongst passengers.
