I have been frequenting this theater for about 7 years now. The only reason is the rewards program and it's close proximity. I was willing to forgo the stale popcorn and avoid the atrociously filthy, absolutely disgusting restrooms in exchange for it's convenient location. Now, however after having my purse searched by an obviously qualified and highly trained teenager (wait what?) I won't be going back. This practice does nothing to increase the safety of movie goers. Firstly, middle aged women are not the ones that are shooting up movie theaters. Secondly if you are not patting people down or making them walk through a metal detector there are a dozen other places besides a purse to hide a weapon. Why are you inconveniencing your female customers?? Why not focus on the men aged 19-40 wearing coats seeing movies by themselves? I guess it is the Sante Fe century for me from now on.
