I've taken my time writing my review for Pearson. I feel like I should love it - it is a major Canadian airport and it's huge and I almost always have to connect there. All that being said, I just can't give it more than 3 stars.
The food options never thrill me - I have a hard time finding a place that's anything above mediocre. I also find the staff are always in a pretty bad mood (or maybe it's just Toronto in general?), and have never had a stellar experience out of all the times I've been here.
I know this isn't necessarily the fault of the airport, but I HATE the fact that I always have to pick up my bag at the baggage drop and then walk it over to connections where I'm catching my FORTY MINUTE flight home. Could they really not find a way to help a sister out?
Also, almost every time I've been there the customs/security lines are absurd. I do love the automated machines, but once you are directed through those glass doors, be prepared to wait for quite a while to reach your customs officer.
There are some really fun art displays here, and there's always lots of shopping options. Shannon H mentioned the 10 minute manicures, and maybe once I try these I'll be less bitter.
Things I love? The awesome access to charging stations and the fact that there's always someplace to hang out. I think airports are pretty depressing places in general, and maybe I just need to start having a glass of wine before I land.
