My first time here, went one day to meet up with a friend.
Having read all the reviews, I knew the place was pretty popular. I messaged a few Yelpers to find out when to avoid the rush and planned to be there early. Even though it listed on Yelp that attire was casual, I was worried that given the location, it would be filled with business casual (no offence but so not my scene). I was pleased when indeed my jeans and t-shirt were the correct attire and it was filled with a mix of easy going beer and food lovers.
When I got there, it was already packed. The space is relatively small, mostly dining tables and the bar. I was there for drinks only whereas it looked like a good number of people were waiting to eat. I can't remember much about the decor other than thinking there wasn't much that stood out and that like all bars it was mostly darkly lit.
The beer menu is pages long! I was overwhelmed until I read if a few times and got the general lay of the land. I love that each beer has a proper description of the flavours which makes choosing a beer much easier. I finally choose a beer to try only to be told they didn't have it but, the bartender suggested another and I gave it a try. It was great and I ended up drinking it for the rest of the night.
When my second party arrived I moved from sitting at the bar to making room for ourselves at the ledge right beside it. Droves of people came in went in the time that I was there but we managed to stay put and out of the way of most of the hustle and bustle.
This place seems to be pretty popular with your 30 somethings. It got busy, quickly. There wasn't much of a lineup at any point in the night, but come early if you want to avoid the rush. Overall, a good spot to enjoy a night out among friends.
