  • My last stop in Pittsburgh... for now, hopefully! :) The Andy Warhol Museum has 7 floors dedicated to an individual artist and they are organized so that you start from the top and work your way down. (6 floors if you exclude the lobby/cafĂ© on the ground floor.) Ticket prices are steep and I probably wouldn't have visited if they didn't offer $10 student tickets (have your IDs ready)! No food, drinks, or photography allowed. It was interesting to learn about Andy's background from the 7th floor and watch his art progress throughout the years. Andy is well known for his Pop Art (portraits of famous people or goods, such as Marilyn Monroe and Campbell soup cans) and blotted line technique in the 1950-1970s. In a way, his art captured the cultural and political events that occurred during that time period, which is an art in itself. Not to lie but my favorite exhibit was probably the room with the gray helium balloons shaped like large pillows. There was a fan blowing the "clouds" around the room. I had a lot of fun there.
