| - Incredible. And what a treat!!
On my last day in Montreal, it decided to rain a bit, and I just wanted to read and chill. Finding Le Cardinal just two blocks from the apartment I rented was perfect.
Entering through the door, and climbing the stairs, I immediately felt special. The energy of the place is calm, eclectic, and spacious. I loved the decor.
I sat by the window on this beautiful green couch. The table was an old chest. They had such a great mix of tea and snacks. I opted for this incredible green tea (that I need to look up), trout open faced sandwich, and the scone with clotted cream.
The service was also on point, and the food was a delight. I loved the sandwich, and the scone. However, could have skipped the clotted cream. The scone didn't need anything, it was that good! I read a few chapters of my book, ate my treats, slowly drank my tea, and was off for the day. Easily one of my favorite spots during my 5 night Montreal stay.
