  • Absolute worst dealership experience I've ever had! From start to purchase, and beyond! I walked in late Feb '17 looking to trade in my 2016 Toyota for a 2017 Pathfinder. After hours of the back and forth game for numbers, I finally agreed to go from a $480 car payment on my trade-in, to an $600 payment for a new Pathfinder (which I would later refinance) They asked if I was comfortable paying $600 of my money, and they would an cover $200 for the total monthly payment of $800. Then they would cut me a check for $1200 once the deal was funded, and that $1200 was to cover me for 6months until I refinanced. Well, 4-5 hours later, and around 11:15pm, I roll out with a new pathfinder. Since then, deal after deal has not gone through because they wanted to "shop better APR's" for us. About a month passes, and they call us in to re-sign for the new bank...we agreed and showed up. Well, nobody there had a clue what was going on, after about 45 minutes of waiting, we're told by one of the finance gurus that the paperwork isn't ready, and he needs to review it and he'd give us a call in a few days once it was all prepped. (HELLO! You guys called us in asking us to re-sign!, we also live about 20-25 miles away) Since the beginning, we've asked week after week about this $1200 check that was supposed to be cut and sent to us, well upon signing the new paperwork, they confirmed "now that the bank deal funded, we'll cut the check to cover the extra $200 a month" and nothing else was mentioned!...... Here we are May 2017 (2 1/2 months into this dilema). Last Friday we called asking about the check and why we haven't received it, we are specifically told by a Finance department employee "oh yea, we sent the check, it was returned so they're mailing it back out on Monday. Here we are on Friday (it's been a week now) and we're fuming mad calling and asking where this check is. We are NOW told by someone else "oh, we're waiting on the sales manager to sign it so we can mail it out" (wait a minute, wasn't it originally "sent out" over a week ago, returned, and remailed?) nope, just another runaround that Peoria Nissan is playing. Well they also mention "oh the check for $600 right?", we said "NO! it's supposed to be $1200, to covers us for 6 months. That was the stipulation on which I agreed to walk out with this vehicle. Well all of the sudden, I'm being told that the payoff information I gave them for my trade-in was short by $600 and they're taking it out of the check they owe me.........wait a damn minute, we've called week after week, for the last 2 and a half months, we've resigned NEW bank loan paperwork, and not ONCE did anyone EVER mention that the payoff was short, or that our check was only going to be $600 instead of $1200. But every person we've talked to requesting the status of our check has also confirmed that it was $1200 almost every conversation) so, my first payment is late, because i am waiting on their $200 to cover. But they're playing these shady dealership games. I've purchased nearly 6 different new cars in the last ten years or so from Lincoln, BMW, Dodge, Toyota, and now Nissan. Peoria Nissan is by far the most painful, SHADY, unprofessional dealership I've ever done business with. I've asked to speak to their GM or GSM since nobody EVER mentioned a short payoff amount, and now they're stiffing us on our stipulated deal. Well we're told "oh our GM and GSM don't deal with these type of issues".....oh so you're telling us that they don't care about disloyal service being provided? Unhappy customers? Lies, cheats, and run arounds, well if they DON'T deal with these issues then maybe that's why they're rated so low amongst other dealerships. Peoria Nissan has left an absolutely sour taste in my mouth for them, AND Nissan, never again...
