I have been going to this Shoppers Drug Mart for three years. I fill all of my prescriptions here and the pharmacy staff are great.
Let me preface this by saying that I have worked in retail and know how frustrating some customers can be, and I always try to treat others in customer service with the utmost courtesy. Tonight however, I was picking up a few things and when I went to pay for the items, the casher saw that I was paying with change (loonies and quarters for a small bill). Immediately she said that she couldn`t take my change because her manager (Jason, so I`m told) gets angry at her when she takes change at the end of her shift. I explained to her that I already had it counted out and that it was only a small bill, but she persisted that this would get her into big trouble. When I asked the other cashier about it, he told me that the change would be fine, but she insisted on not taking it. So, basically the cashier couldn't be bothered to count the change required for the small bill. The duration of this conversation lasted longer than it would have been if she would have let me pay with cash in the first place.
