We decided to try this place after seeing them on cupcake wars. We realized that this location had opened and is decently close to us. We took a trip down there with the hopes of finding some great cupcakes to eat. For the most part, we were disappointed. The store itself is nice and has good decor. It seems that they turned an old yogurt shop into their store. As for the cupcakes, it was hit and miss.
We got 2 of their pink vanilla cupcakes and they ended up being the best out of the bunch. The cake was moist and frosting was good. We also got a red velvet cupcake which was also pretty good. Was a little bit drier but still had good flavor. One of the seasonal flavors that they had was the orange creamsicle. It was also pretty good. It had some cream in the middle like a hostess cupcake would. The frosting was good and so was the cake.
The problem came in with their chocolate cupcakes. They were both really dry and the frosting had very little flavor. The peanut butter cup has almost zero peanut butter flavor and the hot fudge sundae was pretty much the same way. The other issue I had with their cupcakes, and this may sound weird, is that they are way too big. The frosting in piled so high that you are forced to eat it with a fork. Some people may like this but I do not. I want to eat a cupcake with my hands and be able to bit into it. They were also fairly expensive because of the size. In the end, we have other cupcake places that we will go to that we like a little better.
