The only reason they get three stars is because we were there for an event and enjoyed that. The hotel itself is old and run down with a not-so-knowledgable staff and mediocre food.
During our event we had to explain to the event "bar tenders" how to make the drinks we wanted; and these were simple drinks, nothing obscure. Then during service one of our guests (who has a seafood allergy) was offered breaded chicken on a skewer. It turned out to be shrimp, and he had to go to his room to get his epi-pen.
The breakfast buffet in the morning is over priced for the quality of food. The sneeze guards over the chafing dishes look like they could use a strong degreaser. The sausage was fatty, even for sausage. The bacon was so over cooked it was crumbling into bits. The eggs were so over cooked they were stuck to the bottom of the chaffing dish. The fruit was so over ripe, we could've made moonshine out of it. The coffee was burned. And the staff was very slow at bussing tables, so you "enjoyed" your breakfast with the view of the mess previous guests left behind.
