I've been to the Pearl Factory in San Francisco. My late husband and I picked out pearls there when we first got married a long time ago. This time around, I was with my sister to help me pick out a new pendant in memory of my husband. The associate, Annie, was so nice and fun. She made this experience memorable. You pay $14.99 to pick an oyster that has a pearl in it. You can choose to just keep the pearl as is, but the jewelry that they have is so beautiful that you almost always will buy the jewelry to house your pearl. It can get pricey, but again, the experience was fun and what you leave with will last a lifetime.
