  • I've been in the service industry for quite some time and believe that Uptown Cabaret is by far one of the best strip clubs around. I read all the reviews and ripped off and scammed seemed to be a common occurrence but I somehow find it hard to believe. So sick of the bs and here's what I think about it. 1)Every adult club has girls that will give you more than your monies worth and those that will try not to. -Entertainers are Independent Contractors and do not work for the club. It's not the clubs ripping you off unless you're charged for 10 beers and you're handed 2. -when getting $30 dances upstairs, there is a floor guy monitoring and counting each dance performed. If you have a question about the number of songs, ask that person. They have nothing to gain by adding dances. -don't agree to pay a girl for a specific amount of time then when the time is up, decide it's not worth it. You have the choice from the beginning to opt out. -if you go to a club you can usually ask a floor guy which girls he suggests. 10 times out of 10 they will recommend a legit girl. Why would the recommend anything else that will cause them to have to deal with an embarrassing situation in the end? -instead of expecting the entertainer to ask each song if you want another, how about you just say no more please? You guys can't really think one song lasts 30 mins. Ignorance is not an excuse and neither is stupidity. -and most importantly: Uptown Cabaret isn't a Flea Market. You can't negotiate the price of a dance or total due. If you get 3 dances, you owe for 3 dances. Managers do not side with the girls unless the girl is undisputedly in the right. The club has nothing to gain by making you pay more than what is actually owed. The club loses business that way. 2)passes are accepted unless there is a major event (like a boxing match that costs $1000's to show and everyone in town is charging a cover). -breakfast they don't charge a cover. They are charging you for the breakfast buffet. They choose not to confiscate the pass so you can use it another time. Period. They're not being rude, actually they're just wanting you to come back. 3)the door girls are not rude unless you are rude to them. Imagine checking id's, hanging coats, signing people in and collecting entry fee from 1500+ people a night. Not to mention the people who claim to know someone, be on some list, drunk and yelling, cursing because they have a cover charge or they don't meet dress code, not having a membership and not knowing that in NC you have to have one or the guy/girl that swears it's their ID (when it's not) not caring the club can lose their liquor license by letting them in and the best "you don't recognize me?" (nah she doesn't. She sees 1000's of faces a night). 4)the guy complaining about being scammed and the manager taking his side and reversing his charge. Wth? They helped you out and reversed your charge! You sound like an insatiable douchebag. Don't pull out your card, hand over ID, give a fingerprint and signature and then say you didn't want to. Plenty of steps to go through not to really want to do it. Sounds like you expected a little more than a good time in the club. That or playing the big money guy in front of your friends caught up with you. Buyers remorse sucks. JS 5)dress code. Yes this club has one. However, on home game days they allow jerseys. The club is the business of making money and a lot of money comes to town when people come to support their team. Generally the clubs attire is dinner casual. No athletic attire, plain tees or work boots. 6)seems like a lot of females have something to say about the appearance of the girls. This club has a variety of entertainers. Someone for everyone. If you think you are "hotter", more attractive or can entertain better, there is an amateur contest on Sunday nights. Try it out! Cash prize!!! 7)drink prices are in line with the other adult clubs in Charlotte including nightclubs in the Uptown area. The beers at the stadium cost more than in the club! They have drink specials every night unless there's a major event. FYI $23 for a beer, angry orchard and a shot isn't a lot. I'd suggest sticking to small town bars where you can drink cheap. The big city isn't for you. The positives: They have on average 60 girls on a weekend night. Someone for everyone. Daily drink specials that include a beer and liquor. Usually $3.50 beer and $4 liquor special. Sunday is the best for drink specials. $3 beers and $4 u call it's! The music is diverse and current 2 big bars and nice VIP sections Friday and Saturday night breakfast buffet is so good! As long as you want to have fun, you can!
