| - If you're ever planning on attending a movie here, I have a couple quick points to make your experience more enjoyable.
1. If you are going on a busy night (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, or opening night) be sure to arrive early. The parking lot is an absolute zoo due to all the different things going on at Chinook Centre. Maybe even bring a bag of popcorn from home since finding a spot and watching the theatrics playing out in the parkade/lot could be the opening preview before your main event, and I would hate for you to be unprepared.
2. Wear sensible shoes. I don't mean your two inch heels rather than four inch heels. I mean your "I'm training for a half marathon" running shoes. I've been to this theatre at least 4 times this year so far, and not once has the escalator been working in both directions. So prepare to hike up the escalator acting as stairs.
Fewf. You have barely survived the conga line hike up the escalator stairs and are now herded into another line. So...
3. Buy your tickets online before you get to the theatre. This will easily save you 5-10 minutes, and in doing so increase your overall happiness, especially after the parking fiasco and indoor uphill hike.
4. Grab some delicious snacks. I have found that typically the far right side of the concession moves quicker.
5. Immediately go find seats (if you didn't buy tickets for the theatres with reserved seating). The theatres look fairly modern and are neutral looking colours that don't look aged, dated, or dirty. And this is when things get good. The seats recline, the arm rests move up, and they have trivia that you can play to win free scene points before your movie begins.
Hope these tips help make the most out of your movie night!
