| - I was in dire need of gettin' the lid chopped on a Sunday and I paced all over downtown Toronto, and couldn't find anything open. Then until I found this little nook in the wall. The sign outside said $15, which immediately sent a chill down my spine. Unfortunately, I didn't have any alternative choices so I nervously opened the door.
"Hi sir, can I help you with something?!?"
Once I heard that, I almost considered turning around and leaving. I had to momentarily stop and make sure I was at the right place. I mean......can you help me with something?!?! Yeah, I'd like a Big Mac and fries with some sweet and sour sauce on the side, a $1,000 in cash, and a new pair of shoes for work. Can you help me with that?!?!
It was certainly a bit concerning that the hair dresser didn't immediately consider that I was there to get my hair cut. Maybe she didn't really feel like working? Whatever the case may be, I had no choice. I anxiously jumped into the chair and held my breath for the next twenty-five minutes. I thought I was headed down the same path towards anger that Vivek S. ventured down....and I was going to have to pay $5 more then he did!
Thankfully, when I opened my eyes 25 minutes later my head wasn't shaved, my side burns appeared even, I assumed the back of my head didn't have my initials buzzed into it and most of my early-stage grey hair was on the floor.
$15 plus tax and I was outta there in a snap. Quick and easy. A week later, it looks like a competent individual cut my hair. Unfortunately, those grey hairs are already back.
