| - Surrounded by trees and bushes and with large windows allowing plenty of natural sunlight to flow through, Cafe at the Frick is the ideal spot for afternoon tea time.
We arrived right at 2:30pm for tea time and asked to be seated outdoors, but the hostess informed us that there was construction going on and that it'd be better to be indoors to avoid getting a layer of dust over our food. We ordered the Afternoon Tea and really enjoyed most of the items on the plates, from the savory mini sandwiches on the bottom (crab, chicken, cucumber, egg) to the delicious scones in the middle to the cute dessert pastries (tarts etc.) at the top. Unfortunately, I was so excited to dig in and take photos that I barely paid attention when our server was explaining what everything was. I LOVED the scones. I've never had such amazing scones before! The mini sandwiches were also delectable. I thought some of the dessert pastries were just okay, but the rest of the food exceeded my expectations.
Food, tea, service, and all the natural surroundings make Cafe at the Frick a very solid 4.
