| - Our 1st trip together to Las Vegas was in 1979. Our 2nd trip was in 1980, when we got married there. Our 67th trip was last week to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. I think I have a pretty good memory. Now, what was I talking about?
We have stayed at South Point a number of times, it has become one of our favorite hotel and casinos located about 6 miles south of Mandalay Bay. Having a car, we are able to get around easily and visit all the sites.
Our spacious room has all the amenities, including Internet access, 42-inch plasma TV, in-room safe and Serta mattress for a good nights sleep.
The casino floor is huge, 2,600 slots and video poker machines, 60 table games, 600 seat bingo room and 24-hr poker room. There's also 12 restaurants, a 16-screen movie theater and a 64-lane bowling center.
We enjoy our stay at South Point from start to end, it is always a pleasure. The staff is friendly and there is a lot to do and many dining choices. We have stayed at the ultra deluxe hotels on the strip. I cannot justify the extra $150 per night. South Point has the same formula established at reasonable prices. Sure Bellagio and Wynn are nicer but they come with a nice price tag too!
