2.5 stars, but I'll round up to 3 for Buddy's sake. The line that snakes down the main hallway should be a sign that you're either going to love Carlo's for the delicious pastries, or hate Carlo's because of the ridiculous line/service. I'm assuming that they knew Carlo's was going to be mobbed by fans of the show... so why the F did they make the inside of this place SO SMALL? My husband and I walked around the Venetian shops and this was the only place that was absolutely booming with people... in the most claustrophobic environment ever! But, I digress...
After waiting about 30-45 minutes in Line #1 to actually get in to Carlo's Bakery, they "grant" you entrance into the shop to wait in Line #2 to order. They give you about less than 10 seconds to actually see what is in the display case to choose from. I really could not make up my mind and felt pressured to order, so I settled on a Cannoli and Cream Puff. After you order, they send you to yet another line (Line #3) to wait for your order and pay. By this point, I felt like I was in a cattle herd.
As I was waiting in Line #3, I noticed that there were so many other pastries in another case that I was not given the chance to see. I totally would have ordered other items if I had seen them, but whatever. Overall, the cannoli and cream puff were good-- but definitely not worth standing in 3 lines for. I think they need to figure out a better system or expand and make the bakery larger.
