| - Awesome.
A group of friends and I had been talking about heading to this place for a while, as one is a big grilled cheese fan, and we finally made it out this Sunday for their brunch.
GO TO THEIR BRUNCH. No, really though. It seems as though the full menu is available during brunch hours and they offer $15 bottomless mimosas so really, you have no reason to go any other time, at all.
And those mimosas? Truly bottomless. Like, I can't tell you how many I had because my glass was rarely actually empty. I don't know why a previous poster complained about this! Yes, the servers are attentive and come by often to refill...how is that a negative? You order bottomless mimosas, don't you want to get your money's worth and enjoy the deal? Our party certainly appreciated our service! The server was very friendly and talkative and though she came by often, didn't interrupt our conversation, simply refilled the drinks. Wonderful!
Everyone in our party got various grilled cheese sandwhiches, many of which have clever names. I got a kick out of "Shrooms" and the dessert "cheese": "Because we got high." (What can I say? Maybe I laugh easy.) I I got the fried green tomato grilled cheese, and added a fried egg onto it that I'm pretty sure was free of charge. It was delicious: fried green tomatoes, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, and red pepper spread (and my egg!) MmmMmm...
The cheeses all come with a cup of tomato bisque soup, which was actually the only downfall of the meal. It tasted medicinal? to me. The other 3 people in my party loved it though, so perhaps this was just me. Not enough to subtract a star.
The fries that come with the meal come in a variety of different styles: regular, sweet potato, old bay, cajun, and garlic parm. No up-charge for the specialty styles.
We will definitely be back, we even said this should be a monthly tradition! Can't wait to go back and try another type of cheese...I already have my eye on one with gouda....
