  • After seeing the Yelp reviews, I contacted Chris yesterday and he came out this morning to change out both tubes on my long-neglected Specialized Rockhopper. He didn't mind my watching so that I could learn a little more about my bike. He also checked the shifters and noticed that they were really gummy and not shifting properly, so lubed them really well and explained that there are some small springs in there that can get jammed. Then he lubed and adjusted the chain. He also noticed that my brake pads had never been properly adjusted and were consequently wearing improperly - this despite that I bought the bike new and had it supposedly tuned up at the original shop and several other shops over the years! Chris is clearly an expert who takes pride in the quality of his work. Finally, he performed a road test and had me do the same...I could not believe the difference in the ride!!! Better than when it was new and now I know why!! Plus, he charged less than the bike shops wanted for just a basic tune-up (which as I now know is really no tune-up at all). I am telling all my friends about Chris and can't recommend him highly enough! Thank you, Chris!!
