We checked into Gateway Surgery Center for my sisters surgery on her arm and my how things have changed! In the past it was a clean, friendly, welcoming place! Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed because at 8am this location was unkept and the staff seemed as if they had a weekend hangover! No smiles, no coffee, just ushering patients in and out!
They seemed to have an attitude because my sister didn't answer the pager she was given; once the nurse who came to find her looked at the pager she realized that she had a different pager number than the one they had written down for her!
I'm a little disappointed because Gateway Surgery Center is usually better than this!
The waiting area is usually cozy and well maintained. There are paintings all around and televisions to occupy you while you wait!
Upon checking out you're assigned a nurse to bring you to your car, my sisters nurse was Anna and she was very sweet! She got her comfortably seated in the car, gave a few last minute instructions and even put her seatbelt on!
