I saw this show ~5 years ago an absolutely loved it (when it was at "the Hooters"), and knew I just had to go again and bring my mother and sister (fellow Prince fans). The opportunity finally presented itself this past weekend when we were out in Las Vegas for a family event. I was happy to find the tickets available on Goldstar and opted for the VIP/preferred seating.
The show was just as good as I'd remembered all those years ago, if not better. Prince, the band and Morris Day & Jerome were great, and I enjoyed the additions (female dancers and Apollonia 6), as well as the new venue and production quality of the show. You can tell the artists on the stage have studied their respective roles, down to the details. They appear to truly enjoy themselves on stage, and it shows in their performances. I hadn't bought the picture initially, but did opt in to pay the additional $20 after the show for the picture, which is a great memento for this special occasion - it was also nice to be able to personally thank the cast and tell them what a phenomenal time we all had.
The untimely passing of Prince earlier this year only made seeing this show again that much more special - especially since I was able to see it with people I love whom love Prince just as much as I do. If you're a true classic Prince fan and in Vegas, please see this show. You will not be disappointed!!
