Who reviews McDonald's? Like really.
We were in town for a few days preparing for our wedding and often needed a quick, hearty breakfast while rushing between places. Nothing fills you up and keeps you full all day like a good Sausage & Egg McMuffin or their freshly made quarter pounder and a hot cup of coffee.
First thing - I've never seen those ordering booths in McD's before. We very rarely go except while traveling and it was pretty nice to be able to walk in and tap everything you want to order without feeling rushed. It does take a little more time than ordering at the counter. After you pay, you grab a number and someone brings your food to you.
Our first time there, our hash browns were forgotten and the lady who brought our food out was so apologetic and nice. She even offered us free pies for the wait!
All of the food was hot and fresh, unlike the majority of McDonald's I've been to over the years back home. They now advertise that their quarter pounders are made to order and the difference is huge. The bun is soft, the patty is juicy, and dare I say it actually tastes like beef. McDonald's no longer has the worst burgers around.
