| - I told Jay H. to take me to "hipster Charlotte," which as far as I can tell is basically like the preppiest part of Atlanta? Friggin' banks. Anyway, this bar is pretty great, as is the area it's in, from the looks of it.
When we first walked in, J headed to the bar to get us some Garlic Ale. I scanned the place: pretty people, but few of them. He handed me a beer and said, "Here. Follow me." We wandered back toward the bathrooms and out into a huge crowd on one of the best bar patios I've ever seen. There's ping pong, there's cornhole, there's another bar. The tables are huge and round, perfect for sitting back and people-watching, which is what we did for the first beer. Then, we moved out to the front patio, which also has tables, to sit and write our creative little ideas on napkins and shuffle cards and sip beer and tell secrets. It was a great place for a Saturday night, and I'll definitely be back to the neighborhood whenever I'm in Charlotte.
