I thoroughly enjoyed this place! I came on a Friday night and just at the right time as behind me started a line of people. This cute little corner restaurant has a great story (highlighted on the front of their menu) and even cuter internal setup. It's 2 stories and even with the low ceilings there is just a great amount of charm that this place has to offer.
Fresh warm focaccia bread, olive oil and balsamic with some fresh cracked pepper.. yum. New specials on a separate page, with fresh ingredients and just Italian charm.
The portions here are quite large, so save some room in your stomach if you're coming here or think about sharing a plate and an appetizer. I got the tutto drew, added some mushrooms, and was VERY happy with the dish.
it was perfectly cooked al dente and with the addition of some fresh Parmesan from the server and some red pepper flakes, I couldn't have asked for a better dish. The sausage had a good texture and you could taste the splash of wine, but still enjoy the creaminess of the red sauce. By the time we were done, this place was still packed and more people were coming in. I would totally be down to try any of the other dishes on this menu or just come for a cute little date night on state street.
happy bowtie pasta eating!
