rev:text	I used to have the very good fortune of working in the same neighborhood as Daniel et Daniel, a wonderful source for gourmet catering and cold and hot dishes to go. A sign of a great swanky party is a spread that features tarts with the signature "Daniel et Daniel" logo on chocolate wafers. If I see one of those, I know I'm in trouble. They are happy to work with your budget and find a spread that works for you, whether it be desserts or a sit down meal. Their food shop in Cabbagetown is an especially nice treat if you're in the neighborhood. Gourmet sandwiches come prewrapped out of the cold case, freshly made and served on a six inch length of french stick bread. Veggies and goat cheese, chicken and tzatziki and others are usually available throughout the day (although they do sell out on busy afternoon). Specialty bottled drinks like juices and a single serving bag of Kettle chips will round out your lunch. If you're looking for something different, try one of their cold salads (orzo salad is a personal fave), or grab a chicken chimichanga to go. If you are looking to bring something home for dinner, you can find anything from roast beef to lasagne by the pound at the counter. The only downside is you can't eat in the shop, so if you're just stopping by you will have to eat until you get home (or picnic it up at Riverdale park). They also have a lovely selection of desserts to go, including cakes, tarts and pastries, as well as a lot of import chocolates and sweets. Bon apetit!
