  • We tried out JLH for the first time this past weekend while we were on vacation and I've never regretted anything more than this. We have two dogs, a Frenchie/Pugg mix who is 3 and a 7 month Olde English Bulldog. We are fostering the bulldog for a cousin who is in the Army and was recently deployed to the middle east. Unfortunately the bulldog was attacked twice and we were lied to about what happened, with the story still changing. My wife took the dogs to see the place and interview the staff to make sure it would be a good fit. All things seemed good, our Frenchie would be with small dogs and the Bulldog would be with big dogs due to her size. We were excited to be able to watch them online and felt comfortable with the decision. We dropped the dogs off on a Friday. The next morning we logged in and were able to see both dogs in their respective areas, all seemed good. After this first time, we didn't see our bulldog on camera until again until Monday evening when we saw her in a room alone. We did see our Frenchie in multiple areas throughout the four days. We called to check in on the dogs after a day and were told all was good, but the bulldog gets a little excited so she was doing some kennel time which we were good with since we are kennel training her. But no reason was given on why we were not seeing her at all. We were starting to think they were just keeping her in the kennel all the time since every time we checked the cameras we never saw her. Monday morning we received a call from a staff member who told me that our bulldog was attacked by another dog but she was fine, just a few minor scratches on the face, nothing to worry about. The staff member didn't know all the details but played it off like no big deal just a minor issue. Imagine our surprise and anger when we showed up Tuesday morning and realized our dog was covered in bite marks and scratches. Not only did she have a bad cut on her face, but cuts and bite marks on her ears, neck, mouth, legs, side and chest. She also had a deep open bite mark on the back of her neck. Tracy (the owner) said that our dog kept trying to play with a dog who had enough and attacked her. She went as far as to say the other dog was anti-social. Tracy told my wife that it didn't look bad and no need to see a vet in her opinion. Needless to say the first thing we did was take her to the vet to get checked out. Turns out the cut was very deep and required multiple stitches to close it. All other bites and scratches were able to be cleaned. She is now on heavy antibiotics for a week, acting scared and getting spooked easily. Upon questioning Tracy for answers she called back only to say that our dog was actually attacked twice by two different dogs on TWO DIFFERENT DAYS!!! The first time was Sunday night and the second was Monday morning (when we were called and told once). The bad bite happened Sunday and not one evening staff member made a report or called us or let the morning staff know. When we did get a call on Monday about the face scratch, no mention of the other wounds was made. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? YOU CAN'T MISS THEM, SHE IS COVERED IN WOUNDS! While Tracy did offer to give us 50% off our bill, we wanted her to cover the vet bill of $216. It took multiple phone calls but she finally agreed. To top it all off, our discharge paperwork said..."your dogs were awesome, we can't wait to have them back!". NO MENTION OF THE ATTACKS AT ALL. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There is no accountability at this place at all. Gross negligence by the staff and owner as far as I'm concerned. Will never be going here again.
