| - Stopped in on a early Saturday afternoon. The space is wide open, with a quite long bar with plenty of seats. There are also tables and chairs spread out throughout the facility, including seating that is available in the 'brewing' area.
Tons of beers on tap here across many styles to suit any palate. Hitchkiker has been making really solid beers from the start, but they keep getting better and better. I had the Bane of Existence IPA and the better half went with Conversion Blonde Ale. Both were extremely good, not overdone at all. These are considered part of their Core Beers. I also drank the Off Limits, which is a sour beer with black currants. I have always been hit or miss with sour beers, but this one was a hit. The better half also sampled the Marshmallow which is a stout brewed with Count Chocula. For me, this is a dessert beer, very sweet and rich.
Great staff here, very friendly, prompt, efficient and willing to answer any questions. With the growing amount of brew pubs opening in Pittsburgh, Hitchhiker certainly stands out. Give it a shot!
