Last night, they locked me in the store after closing. I found out when I went to the counter to pay for my stuff and the alarm started blaring. Holy sh@t!
I started going from door to door pounding on them. I was trying to find an employee. The alarm was so loud. I didn't know if they were injured or being robbed... Yeah I'm a mom! I worry!
I started to have a panic attack! My sister told me to call 911... That's when I saw the emergency exit and I left. I drove home instinctively. I told my kids what happened. I immediately went back because I could think again since the alarm wasn't blaring ( torture) in my ears!!! I was worried that maybe the employee was injured or something and I knew the door was open.
I called 311. Shortly after the manager and her husband show up. Apparently, she left at 12:30. I left at 12:47. She asked me how did I turn off the alarm. How the hell would I know how to turn off the alarm? She didn't even say "sorry" or " thanks for coming back and making sure we were ok" or anything.
Have you ever been in a store at closing time? They make an announcement every 5 seconds that they are closing. How the hell am I supposed to know that it's not a 24 hour store? All the lights were on...
Police showed up a few minutes after them. My heart was still beating a mile a minute. I am currently under a doctors care for anxiety and high blood pressure .
Unbelievable... I missed work to go back and make sure that they were ok. I can't believe she tried to blame me first and when I pointed out that they never announced the store was closing, then she claimed that the other cashier that was supposed to make the announcement.
R u kidding me?
Just so you know it closes at 12 and the A/C shuts off when they close.
