We were in Montreal on vacation and staying at the Westin. My son is a Jazz drummer but at age 16, many of the Jazz clubs in Montreal will not let him in, even for dinner. The concierge at the Westin called the owner in the afternoon (wednesday) and he told us to stop on by. We took the Metro to Mont Royale station (could have taken Sherbrooke) and walked the 10 minutes to the club. It's a cozy, down stairs venue with a small stage, a bar and a tables scattered around the joint. The food is good from the one man kitchen. The staff was attentive, i.e. when my drink was empty I wasn't waiting more than a minute or two to get a refill. The first group was a dixieland quartet (pass the hat) and the second group came on at 9:30 was a funk band ($* cover) that brought the house down. Very fun, the band was loud but in a good way, the food was good as well as the service.
This was a great place to spend our last night of vacation. We can't thank the owner enough to let us in with our son for dinner and the bands.
