We no longer frequent this location...
I have been to Cold Stones all over the country and never once have I run into a franchise that refuses to give a scoop of ice cream that is taller than the cup. This location will level off your dessert so that it is flush with the top of the cup. They will not give you more than this. This is after me and several of my family members have been back many times, so it is not just one employee or experience. The last time we went, we made a comment about it and explained how other locations do not do this. Their response? "Well, those locations aren't doing their jobs!"
Explain to me why the lids that go on top of the cups are in the shape of a bubble to accommodate a hill of ice cream? If Cold Stone is not allowed to give a scoop taller than the cup, why would their lids be round instead of flat? And why do they only sprinkle a couple of toppings into your ice cream?
The bottom line is that this location is WAY too stingy. Why would I pay $6-$8 for a small, leveled-off scoop of ice cream with minimal toppings when I can go down the street and not get ripped off (as much)? And then you ask for a tip?
