  • Avoid Avoid Avoid This is hands down the worst place I stayed in my life. There are as far as I see only two good points to staying there: It is easy to get into AND it will make you appreciate any place you will stay at afterwards ... things like GRASS and HOT water will feel like a luxury to you. The Room We were given an upstairs room, with a broken dresser, a hard a$$ bed and an old box tv. They would often shut off the water without warning or notification and most the time the water would not get hot. When we complained to office about the lack of hot (or even luke warm) water we were told that we are at the end of the building and we were the last to be serviced. Their resolution was to let the water run 20 to 30 minutes to give it time to get hot. IN A DESERT !!!! - unbelievable. Siegels should be fined for their total disregard for natural resources. The bed was soo hard it cut of my circulation. When we complained we were told that we would have to pay for an ' upgraded ' room to get a better bed. We put a heavy duty sleeping bag on the bed to make it half way decent. The facility Very rough - Siegel's clientel seems to be welfare moms, disabled, drug addicts, prostitutes and drug dealers. Whenever I saw a ' seemingly ' normal person I was totally amazed. They advertise themselves as a hotel yet they don't have a ice machine ?! The Neighborhood Total Ghetto. Unsupervised kids, people loitering everywhere, Loud, obnoxious and dangerous. NO SHOPPING close by. Smiths is 6 miles down the road and Walmart about 5 miles. There used to be a Walmart right across the street before it was closed due to the loss prevention officer being stabbed. There is a constant police presence. I once heard a police officer step into a room asking ' remember me ' lol. The Laundry Facility Suppose to open at 5 am, but the guy with the key doesn't seem to get there until 8 am. It closes at 9 pm. It often smells like Urine. There is n o air conditioning. NO Air condition in VEGAS. There is no quarter machine - the office usually does not have quarters and in the two months we stayed there we were only able to get quarters from the Casino a couple of times. Surrounding business do not want to give you quarters. So basically we ended up driving 10 miles to the closest station casino to get quarters to do laundry. FUN!!! The Pool Was open only a couple of months. Good news there is a pool bad news is you don't get to use it. 100 degrees in Vegas and they closed the pool in early August. The Casino I wouldn't call it a Casino I would call it a ' Trap ' for people who live there and can't go anywhere else. There are no machines to cash out tickets and only one cashier and she is not always there either only during certain hours. So there is no way to cash out a ticket - the security guys pitch in when the cashier is not there. So one cashier for the entire casino, no ticket machines - yet never a line - tells me there is not a lot of winning going on. The worst things though is that they only cater to one ethnicity group. Imagine yourself on a road trip with a co worker for 2 months. Imagine the co - worker only playing African American Artist - Rythm and Blues tape non stop the same auto loop music. That should give you the right idea. In two months I was never offered a cocktail or drink. Twice I attempted to get ICE from the bar, just ice. I brought my cup the first time and the young African American waitress handed it back to me and said very rudely ' I'm not going to fill that up '. The second time I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes with 2 bar tenders yet was totally ignored. Mind you that's a tiny place with a tiny bar ... I gave up. Now if there are regulars playing next to you you notice they get drinks brought, and if there are African American players next to you you will see the cocktail waitress offering them drinks. The drawings also cater to people loitering not people that are actually playing. You put drawing tickets into a hamper and they pull every 30 minutes or hour depending on the current promotion. People without a job loiter there all day or come back for the drawings on an hourly basis. Us working stiffs who go in to play an hour or two don't stand a chance. When Names are pulled the players club employee usually knows them and even announces rightaway if they were seen at the casino or not at the present time. I also once was denied my promotional $5 free play - even though I had the coupon in my hand the players club lady said there was no where for her to click on. If you like loud and obnoxious this place is for you. You will hear the N word freely used by the African American crowd, you will hear about the most personal grooming habits. I 've been in 100 's of Casinos since 2006 and I've never seen people act like that in any Casino without security asking them to leave. There is more but app. I'm out of space.
