I have been going to Queen Street Dental for over 20 years and recently had a bad experience. I had had a root canal 18 months ago forgot to get a crown put in. Lo and behold my tooth fell out while I was chewing on a chicken wing on superbowl Sunday. So I called Monday morning and the receptionist said she could fit me in later that day. So I went at 4:15 not knowing that the dentist would be the only dentist there so I was kept waiting for 30 minutes. Then he looked at the missing tooth and decided that a temporary crown should be put in but because he was the only dentist there he had to keep dealing with emergencies so he was going back and forth between me and other patients. I went at 4:15 and didn't get out of there until 6:30 p.m. The temporary crown came to $600 and my insurance only covered $300.00. I don't know why the dentist didn't put in a permanent crown so now I have to go back for a permanent one which will cost me about $1,000 of which I am only covered for $800 so basically I will be out of $500.00. If they had of done a permanent crown in the first place I wouldn't be out this kind of money. I spoke to my regular dentist the day after and he said he would take care of me since I have been going there for so long. Well that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard from him. So basically I am waiting for my temporary crown to fall out and then I can get a permanent one put in. So needless to say this is no way to treat someone who has been going to that clinic for 20 years.
