I have come to love hot yoga over the past year and a half. If you have never done hot yoga and don't have a love and appreciation for lots of sweat I can see how you would not like this studio. I have been to Y2 a handful of times now taking classes ranging from there Long Slow Deep stretch class to a 2 hour Butterball Boot camp the day before Thanksgiving. The classes never fail to deliver, I feel deeply relaxed and zen after the LSD class and completely ready to gorge myself on Thanksgiving day dinner after the boot camp. The teachers all have their unique styles just as in other studios but you are sure to find one that you will go back and see again. In the flow classes the music is upbeat and fun. The instructors are very encouraging and give great adjustments. In reference to the facilities they are great. For the amount of people that cycle in and out of classes it is amazing how clean the locker rooms are, even if more than a little crowed.
Okay so after all the good stuff things you should be aware of....yes some of the classes do get mat to mat and you may be dripped on, however this is not unlike other popular yoga studios in the area (plus when you are that sweaty whats a little more sweat). Also there are a lot of advanced/experienced students at this studio so if you are new it can be a little intimidating, don't give up yoga is about "your" practice!
Lastly and the only thing I would actually take away a star for is the size of the facility versus the amount of people. It is so over crowded when classes are changing over and does not put you in the most zen state. Along with that sometimes it is even hard to find a place to put your stuff (outside the yoga room) all of the cubbies are usually full and the floor of the locker room is covered in bags. That all being said they are working on moving to a bigger space which I am sure will ease the overcrowding pain.
