I'm slightly obsessed with goats, especially baby goats. I cannot even explain how excited I was to attend goat yoga. However, I arrive at this event to be instantly disappointed. Where I thought there was going to be a small yoga class with goats doing their thing, I was hit by reality when I pulled into the parking lot to see a grassy area of 100 people (literally) on their yoga mats(towels) ready for "yoga." Im not even disappointed that the yoga was absolutely terrible, or that they had you in a back bend in the first 15 minutes (which if you're a practitioner you know is incredibly hard on the body). I was disappointed with the exploitation of these goats. 100 people there to take pictures and only about 10 goats. 3 week old goats being tossed around for a photo. Pregnant goats chasing treats "trying" to jump on someone's back. Nursing goats chasing treats "trying" to jump on someone's back. You literally sit I a circle while people with goat treats walk around making them hop on you for a photo op and onto the next person. I did not leave this event feeling good about anything.
